The Yankees asked to meet with him before he removed the deal, but for just speaking with him his agent said they would have to offer Rodriguez $350 million. Some of the teams interested in him are the Angels, Red Sox, Dodgers, and Mets.

The value of the dollar is dropping even more, GM is in even worse shape, and oil prices are rising. It costs $1.46 to buy 1 Euro. The price for oil could reach $96.37 per barrel today. GM is being effected by housing costs, which most of the problem is from an accounting mistake. All of this is important because of the soon arrival of the holiday season.

Election

Rudy Guilani is campaigning hard in Iowa. Except for one thing, its an under the radar style. He's sending direct mail and having radio ads. One of his main themes is that he cut more taxes than any other mayor of New York. The main reason he is not using TV airtime is because of money. He is saving up his money for later in the campaign to air on TV.

In Japan, PC's are not being sold. Most people are wanting a newer high-tech phone that has access to the internet or a game console like the Nintendo Wii. Flat panel TV's are also high up on the list. In the second quarter of 2007, desktop sells dropped 4.8 percent. The reason why many people are not buying PC's is because many of the reasons they had them are now featured on other high-tech items. One example of this is being able to download a movie directly to the TV.
